Curriculum Intro

Introduction
Assembling a team consists of the team understanding the basic concepts of what a team represents and the basic concepts of the game in which it competes. Representing Santa Cruz FC means accepting the challenge of promoting the Club to the football elite in the United States.
United, climbing higher and higher, mirroring the recent achievements of great clubs. The beginning and how the paths taken by the Club in this beginning of the path show its strength and its real potential.
A good ranking in the Lower divisions regional championship opens the door to national competitions and more important titles, access to new competitions and a superior financial panorama. Those who wear this shirt must look forward and be motivated to take Santa Cruz FC to the very top..
Team members will need to understand and reproduce the importance of individual efficiency (more work in less time) of each and recognize the effects of their actions on the opponent, tactically, technically, physically and mentally. Therefore, the coach’s role in training should be to reproduce situations in which these concepts can be presented, taught, practiced and perfected, keeping the athlete aware of what and why to do and the effects caused on the opponent.
More than knowing what to do, the athlete must know what the opponent wants to do, that is, control the game and be prepared and trained. for the different results.
When you have clear and specifically trained concepts, resolving offensive and defensive situations becomes a common problem.
with common resolutions, already lived, revived and resolved in training. A soccer team in the United States, deserves a technical team capable of taking full advantage of its physical and human structure, doing justice and valuing the investment made by the institution.

Values and Concepts

The Club
When entering the field, the team represents Santa Cruz FC, which is representing the people of the State of Massachusetts, and each game must live up to the efforts of all those who make their work possible every day, and to the unconditional support of local and fans of this beautiful state.

The Game
Understanding the game is essential to accept and use your mistakes for your own evolution. Really understanding the game and enjoying the training process develop important values in the sports environment, such as respect for the opponent’s effort and honesty in fighting to the end. The club must be represented demonstrating the values it defends.

The Training
The more times you participate in a situation and the more concepts you have about it, the more you learn different ways to solve it, avoid it and cancel it. Understanding that training is a reproduction of real situations and specific concepts is very important for the player to learn to give his best in training, understanding that the more effort they apply in the trained situations, the more difficult it will be to solve them (those that they themselves created) and the more prepared they will be to create them (perform the situations trained in the games) and solve them (nullify the situations created by the opponents). TRAIN HOW WE PLAY!

The Team
We have to try to be better every day. the improvement of the team depends on the individual improvement of each athlete. Developing a healthy competitive environment in training, encouraging everyone to bring new football solutions to the situations created, understanding that all new knowledge generates a better understanding of the game’s concepts, is crucial in the development of a competitive, committed and professional group.
